Deb said this looks like a coldwater anemone. Just wanted to see if anyone else has any suggestions. about the size of a quarter pink flesh attached to the glass. Clear arms with bulbs on the end. Thanks. :D

found a picture under cold water anemone looks similar. Why would I have cold water anemone in my tank, and how does it live in my overflow where it is pretty dark? Is it bad?

Never seen one that transparent, but Aiptasia are called Glass anemone as many can be almost pigment free.

I believe that it is a jewel anemone. I read that it grows under caves and overhangs and that divers have to have torches to see it sometimes (that explains why it is in my overflow) Has anyone else had this in there tank? Or do they know anything else about it? Thanks!

yeh i would say it wouldnt need light its probly getting good food suply in the overflow how it got there is another thing coldwater anenomes can be kept in tropical reefs in my exp. if it lives and grows and its not encroaching on others then its just a part of your dynamic eco-system
