Anyone else have cerith snails that reproduce in their tanks? I now have what must be a hundred of these on my rocks and glass. The odd thing is I haven't seen any eggs...

Will try and get a picture up later.

I think I have read that the Cerith snails lay their eggs in the sand. I could be wrong though :p

Congradulaions too :D a great critter to have breed for you

I have seen mine lay eggs in the tank before. They don't have any right now so I found this pic online for you as a reference:

That's a great snail to have reproducing in your tank :) They are very useful for sand beds

Well, that's good. Here is a poor shot from my iPhone. The snails extend back all the way to the back of the tank. Any idea what triggers reproduction?

The great thing is that I have been battling some stubborn pockets of hair algae (holdover from the original tank). Hopefully they will help eradicate the remaining bits.

I don't see eggs in your tank. Are you sure they aren't pods.
