Cheato crazy.

My cheato keeps falling apart in my sump. I want to be able to trap it some how down in the one chamber. Here are some pictures please help me out.

Those are the baffles. It goes over under over.

Got this sump from a buddy, all I didn't is clean it and put my stuff in it.

Once again I'd like to keep the cheato to one side and repopulate my pods

When I had a small amount to start, I had it in a clear plastic cup. Punch some holes for circulation. Change cup out when needed. Now I have a large thick clump with lots of pods.

I used a piece of egg crate covered with vinyl screen placed on the last baffle. Really small pieces get thru but otherwise, it stays in the middle section. Water flows well thru it. Some of the smaller pieces float up and get stuck in the screen, but only the really really little pieces get thru. I have at least a gallon size bag of cheato in the middle section now. Started with a handfull.

I'll try stuffing a water bottle with it tomorrow and poke some holes. Would you guys recommend hangin out my water changes a few days to gve the heylmia dragons breath and the cheato a chance to go? I got a purple tang from my friend to hold on to and he's a porker, and I lost my seaweed bag
Mainly want to grow it for stability and pods

I just use the plastic egg crate like Lorrie did. But I didnt use any screen. And it stays in there.

I had a little sandwich size bag a week ago when I got it. Today I filled maybe a quarter of a 12 oz water bottle. Lol. There's cheato everywhere. Well somewhere cuz my display is clean.
