Hi everyone... I just joined up so I want to say thanks in advance for your advice.

I have been away from reefkeeping for awhile... maybe about 15 years. This was when 4300k MH bulbs were the cutting edge. Wow!.. have things changed. :) In any event, I've got the itch again and I am in the process of setting up a 70 gallon reef.

This is what I have now:

-tank and stand: Solana XL67. It comes with a MH light fixture (250 watts);
-Skimmer: tunze 9410;
-Calcium reactor: Deltec 501 with ph controller; and
-Nitrate reactor: Aquamedic NR1000 with ORP monitor;

I am thinkg about picking out a chiller, but I can do with some advice before I go shopping. The tank will sit in my living room so it has to be quiet. Does anyone have any suggestions on a chiller of approximately 1/4 hp - maximum decibel ratings will be apprectiated along with suggestions.

Your first big decision is inline or drop-in. Drop-ins are lower risk since no additional plumbing is required, buth they are not as efficient as inlines. All chillers make some noise especially 1/4HP, both from the compressor and the fan if your room is very quiet.
