I am moving into a new home in Kent, and bought a standard RO/DI system with out the chloramines filter block. I called the water utility and asked abut the use of chloramines in treating the water. They said that they use both chorine and chloramines in the Seattle water treatment facilities. He seemed to wonder why I was asking, as he said that this is a standard practice throughout the nation. My question is, do we need to buy RO/DI systems with chloramines blocks, or will the standard units work just fine?
