So I come to you guys for more suggestions. I woke up this morning and my clam is not opening fully. It opens but the mantle does not extend completely unlike the days before. I noticed that it seems to have a film that is coming from off of the inside of the shell like it is trying to fluff something off. I picked it up to inspect it for pyramid snails and no sign. I tried the fresh water dip. I know time is the only thing and I need to be patient. All of my parameters are well within desired levels. I know about a week ago my refugium light was off (due to a burnt out bulb for about 3 days) Do you think that the unstable PH could be the factor in this. I tested it today and it was 8.2 calcium was at 450. Any information would be great. Thank you for your time again. I will post a picture when the camera charges.

How's everything else? Nitrates, Nitrites, Ammonia, Phosphates, Alk, etc? How long has the tank been up? What kind of lighting? Any other recent changes/additions to the tank?

tank has been established for a little over a year now. My power had gone out about a week and a half to maybe two weeks ago. Then my refugium light blew out and I wasn't aware of it. So the PH has been fluctuating like crazy. So I am thinking that may have alot to do with it

Well I think today I might be holding a memorial for Mr. Clam. He is still hanging in there by opening and closing but he looks terrible. He is recessed all the way and his intake is all the way open
