Cleaner Wrasse

Hey all, About 3-4 months ago a couple of my fish came down with ick, so being that there in a reef and I couldn't treat the reef, I purchased 2 cleaner wrasse from my LFS. They went to work asap and 2 days later 1 died but the other is still going with no ick in sight at least to the human eye. Just wondering if it is possible for one too stay alive that long or is he a false cleaner.Heres a couple of picsView attachment 20959
