My regulator selonoid is dying and thankfully it has a three year warrenty.anyway my question is while I send the regulator back should I drain the reactor or just let the water circulate though it. I just replaced the media about two months ago and I guess it would not hurt to let it dry out right?

I don't see why it would matter either way.

But I favor letting the water run through it, I guess from "if it ain't broke don't fix it" theory.

After thinking about this all day Im going to shut it down so I could plumb in the diy second calcium chamber that Im going to make. My only problem is Im not sure how big to make it so its bringing the ph back up. My reactor is a 6.5 inch diameter and the pvc pipe I have is 3 inch. I figure make it at least 16 inches tall.
