CO2 tank for multiple purposes?

Hi gang,

I was thinking of buying a CO2 tank for my wife's freshwater planted aquarium. I'm wondering if I can also use it for a calcium reactor somewhere down the line.

I've never used CO2 for either of these purposes so I don't know if it's practical or if it's just easier to buy two tanks. Anyone have an idea?

I have no idea about running it for two different setups, but you can usually rent a small tank for about $5. A good friend of mine rents his from a local restaurant of all places. He paid $5 and has been using it since December and he is just about out. When he goes back he will have to pay another $5.

You could do just one tank with a spilt to a second needle valve to regulate the bubble count independently.
