Well I lost almost all of my tank when my sister was "tank sitting", but I did notice that one of my snails is growing some cool looking coral. I've never seen anything like it and will try and get a picture of it, however wanted to be careful picking up the snail so as to not do damage to the coral. Its encrusting almost all of the shell and has great polyp extension- given that I came home to slummy water it can't be anything too sensitive. Its green with some reddish tones to it.

Without a pic I'm sure its hard to say but anyone have any idea as to what it might be? How do I keep the snail from killing it (by scraping it along rocks or something of the sort)?

A monti if it is encrusting?

How do you keep it from killing the coral? Easy...kill the 25 cent snail and glue the shell to a rock.

Thats such a "man answer"- I'm not good at killing things. I don't think it looks like a monti- will get a photo tonight and see what you guys think.
