Hi I was thinking of flipping my cooling fan that is in side of my M/H hood. I would like to make it quieter.
OK the fan pulls air across the lamps and blow it out. I would like to know is is it OK for me to turn it around and have it suck the cool air from the out side and push the air over the lamps?

The reason why they have the fan setup that way is typically, you don't want a fan blowing directly on a bulb. They say it changes the spectrum of the bulb and I've also heard it limits the bulb's life. Here's a thread that touched on it. It was mainly based on metal halide bulbs, so not sure if it applies to pc's, but I would imagine all bulbs would be affected the same way:)
