Hi,

I am new to the forum but was wondering if anyone can ID this coral. I got it for free, but they weren't sure what it was. Not a very good pic, but maybe it will give someone an idea.
It has a stony base like torch, hammer, ect. it is light green in color and has small individual clusters of tiny balls. Sorta like a frogspawn that has drasticaly shrunk ! I have sen no feeding tenticles come out on this one yet, it does disappear into itself at night leaving a skelton like the bubble coral. Hope this may be enough to ID.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
The picture is too blurry to tell much but from what you describe I will venture a guess of Plerogyra sp. or Physogyra sp.
Commonly called Pearl Bubble coral.

Regards,
Kevin

Thanks Kevin, that's what I was leaning towards but it's still kind of iffy. I will try to get a better photo when the lights come on today.
