Coral? Maybe? ID?

Anyone Know what this is? I saw a lot of them in Hawaii, I think they called it a Potatoe Chip Coral. But the books I have looked in the Potatoe Chip Corals look different.

What is the texture? Is it hard, soft, flexible, etc?
