Coralife 220 skimmer

I just started running a new coralife 220 skimmer. Does anyone know what causes the red knob to leak? Do things get better after break in?

Well I have no idea! Never used a coral life skimmer before. But here's a bump for ya to see if anyone else will chime in.

i have mine for 2 months and no leaks just have to adjust it often

The red knob comes off. It probably has a o ring on it.
Check it to see if there is a problem.

Make sure the output is not under water,it cut's easy enough for your application.I could see the back pressure doing what you say.I have three a nd have not had that happen,also the bubble defuser [if you use it]could clog also causing back pressure.O ring thing could be possible.One way to know for sure is to see if water is comming out of the small vent hole on the out put.Its located at the top of the tube.This would tell you something is blocking the flow.

i've got nothing good to say about these skimmers, sell it and buy another...
what size system are you trying to skim?
