Thanks

why remove it keep it on the sides and back wall, instead of a dum background u will have the algae that looks better and is better for the water chemisty

Depends on the size of the tank but for the most part I'd just dump in the entire gallon with a power head. It will be gone pretty quick. For a much quicker solution you could use muratic acid. 1 cup for per 20g should clean it up in just a few minutes.

Just use straight Vinegar. When you've finished, rinse out the tank... and you're good to go. Vinegar is edible, so it isn't going to hurt anything, just rinse out the excess.

why do u guys like to remove it.i think it looks great in the tank,is their somthing i dont know about it that i should.

Vinegar is good, but if it is a glass tank, nothing beats a razor blade:)

Different strokes for different folks!:p There's nothing wrong with it and is all a matter of personal opinion. I have a bb tank and try to promote coraline growth on the bottom. I don't let it grow on the glass, but the floor is where I like it.

Most leave it but I think were talking about a empty tank. You would not want to leave the dead coraline and re use it.
FWIW muratic acid will not hurt anything.

pour some in the bottom and wet paper towels or something with the vinegar in the bottom and stick them to the sides and back. this will disolve most of it very quickly. after an hour or whenever you get back to it you can rinse most of it out and the rest should scrub off easily with a white scrub pad. other color pads can scratch your glass or acryllic.

If you go for the muratic acid, make you use it outside and don't breathe it or get it in your eyes.
