I have a crocea clam that has attached to one of my large pieces of live rock. I would like to move him to a different tank...is there any safe way to do this, other than breaking the rock and moving the piece with him on it?

Thanks!

Dan

just tip the clam so you can see the byssal threads and cut the threads with a sharp knife as far away from the clam as you can. the byssal threads are a glandular secretion kinda like hair so the clam wont feel a thing
