powerlifting, i did competitive bodybuilding and got tired of the politics(though I did well) and the false illusion that you are a symbol of health. powerlifting in my opinion is awesome. atempt a lift you make it or you don't end of story. crossfit dosen't allow me to be a fat slob though they are always the strongest people pound for pound

haha terrible, i haven't done any competetivley and probaly never will. 3 years ago when my son was born i quit working out all together and just started back up like 8 months ago but last week i did a 405 dead very easy, i'm debating wether to attempt 455 or 495 tomorrow . Bench is a crappy 315 with a pause of course. it is painfull on all the joints so i get very frustrated with that. i'm looking for some good bands so i can get the speed and intensity without putting that constant load on the joints. squat i go around 315 for a few reps. to be honest i am afraid to go to heavy, i dont have a good belt, never had a good work out partner and joints always start aching do to either going to deep in a squat or over work. iam probaly getting to old too compete in it but i love some friendly competition. a friend and i always used to mess around with a crossfitter who now owns a spot in covington and those were some of the best workouts ever. he would get so mad cause we would kind of tease him, but honestly i was very impressed with his power to weight ratio
 
oh i almost forgot, i love to do the clean and press, but i'm not sure if i do it right and it is exhausting, but the first time i did it i was sore head to toe
 
Is your friend in c town ryan reece?

Clean and Press ( or clean and jerk as im more used to) will destroy you under a big enough load. Come down to the place i coach at where I90/405 connect and ill take a look at your form.

Those numbers are good for having taken some time off. If your looking for a good lifting program im really digging wendlers 5/3/1, in roughly 4 months of doing 5/3/1 kin conjunction with my crossfit wods ive gone from a 465 DL to a 545 DL, and a 365 Squat to a 405 squat.

I wouldnt attribute squatting deep ( below parrallel) with any sort of paint, Squatting below parallel is really the only way TO squat for numerous reasons.

I definitely prefer a strength hybrid program to being some 165 lb fruitcake who brags about doing 10 deadlifts are 225, lol.

no his name is Aaron white i beleive, though Ryan sounds familiar. if it is the guy i'm thinking of he had a place in downtown kent. the lift im thinking of is def. the clean and press. i was watching you tube vids of a russian guy from the olympics and was amazed by the power so i started to do it. i can dead 225 easy, front squat 225 easy and push press 225 somewhat easy, but when you put that altogether in one movement for get about it. i also started doing some strongman training 3 years ago with a guy named tim nagy. stones, tire flips, log press lots of fun

Aaron is from maple valley i believe, crossfit basic? Good guy. Im actually from maple valley but now live in issaquah. Strong man stuff is fun, there is an upcoming competrition in rainier not that far off if your interested. If my wrist ever heals from a really stupid idea i had of riding a bull..

Chichas, No. I am the original trainer here from before we actually had a gym to own it was dan and i in the park. But i have nothing to do with the ownership.

i would love to check it out but i am far to out of shape to compete in anything right now, but then again all i need is a deadline and that is usually enough motivation. as far as training goes i would love to pick your brain someday, just cant afford any right now
 
**** man, don't worry about money unless your wanting to come work out at my gym. If you want to come in some time and have me look at your form i just have to make sure im not actually working and i talk to dan about it and were golden.

I asked him if he knew you and if he still wanted that small shirt. he acted like he didn't know who you were.
 
He knows me, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't know me by name. I'm sure being on the cert team he's met a million xfitters.
