Just thought I would share my experiences with this fish since I haven't seen much talk of it on the boards and in fact, have just started to see this guy show up quite frequently in the LFSs.
Through a reccommendation, I purchased one for the reef tank that I maintain and couldn't be happier. Cool, cool fish with lots of color. At first I was expecting behavior similar to a 6-line, but instead got a fish that was more like a dragonet. However, unlike a dragonet and IMVHO, it seems to take prepared foods quite readily. However, I probably wouldn't introduce one in a tank without adequate rockwork.
These guys are very attentive to the rocks, slowly stalking unlucky pods, but the best part about them is their constant color changes. They are constantly changing from a bright red to a pale pink. From what I can tell, this seems to be physiologically normal and not based on stress. THe have an interesting "personality" and seem to be relatively hardy.
Just thought people might be interested. There are soooo many fish that are better left in the sea so it is nice to see a new (at least to my area) fish show up that adjusts nicely and is a good tankmate.
Would love to hear of other's experiences.
