Custom Sump

I am looking for a shop that can build me a custom sump in the Puget Sound tri-county area (Everett to Tacoma).

Does anyone have some one that they can refer me to?

Clear Fabrications in North Bend builds great stuff from acrylic. It's a little pricey in my opinion, but it's very solidly built and you can specify exactly what you want and they'll do it. They built me a roughly 37g sump last December. The acrylic is thicker than my 55g display tank uses. I'm very pleased with my sump.

Any good local window/automobile glass shop could build a basic sump. I provided a 38g glass aquarium to a glass shop, and they cut&installed 2 (3 piece) bubble traps, creating a 12" fuge in the middle, and drilled a hole on one side for my 'outside of sump protein skimmer' for around $80. Just make sure to provide exact dimensions and make sure to measure twice. Using acrylic would be the best idea because the possibilities are endless. Good luck

I have a sump from clear fabrications...everything is great, plus he has helped with other things too. Like a lid that slides back on itself and an acrylic stand for my kalk reactor that stands over my pump (saving valuable real estate). Plus he is very knowledgeable about what works and what does not...
