Anyone cut their Live Rock. I'm looking to make flat bottoms and use pieces for a pillar and rubble pod pile using AquaMend.

I'm thinking a masonary blade on my 12" miter saw might do it.

Has anyone tried this?

Thanks
Doug

Hey that will work great Doug. I even used an old crosscut blade on some Pukani rock that was very porous. Makes it easy for building a solid base to aquascape with.

I've used a hammer and chisel for smaller pieces. I'm sure you'd get better results with the wet saw.

Hey,
I used a table saw and cut a piece of live rock up so I could Save my blue ridge coral and orange cap when I moved them from my 55 gallon to my 180.
They both survived and are doing well !! However the blade could get a bit rusty if you dont clean it .

i was thinking about this the other day...

when i build my 150 I wanna have it stacked high, but i dont want to have cracked glass....

Drill's, PVC, zip ties,

cant go wrong....
