mucho better...it's an external recirculating skimmer with the german aquabee 2000/1 needle wheel impellar pumps, and deltec style quick disconnect cup. the best "cheap" skimmer out there imo...the prices on my skimmer recommendations only go up from here...lol

I really want an in sump skimmer. I am new to saltwater but they seem like what i want. Any comments or suggestions????

that is an in sump skimmer, it's a recirculating skimmer so it can do both, but they make a just in the sump version as well:

but the recirculating model works like 25% better because of the design, which is why i suggested running it in your sump instead

also, what size tank are we talking about and what is your budget??
