You would't think much about carrying 20lbs. If you had to carry it from Below Sea Level to Petco you might think twice ; especially if it was twenty pounds in each arm. I gots my Tonga Branch tho!

I wouldn't think about it at all. I'd stay there and make my girlfriend bring the car around front.
:)

What's wrong with PETCO?

No Girlfriend, No car! I spend all my time and money on my tank! I just happen to live behind Petco. One of the most knowledgable person in the industry is working at Petco. It's just like any other store: if you don't know what you want going into a store you're probably not going to get what you want when you leave.

thats kewl I work for the UW right behind the Shell there on 45th in the new buildings. :) If you ever want to trade or sell let me know it would be nive to not have to drive far to make good trades :p

Hey we're both close! I'm always around the UW....maybe because i go there ;)

BUt yeah, if you guys are doing trades, I'll jump in, too :)

new tank

I'm just breakin' my tank in so, I probaly won't need anything soon. I just put in forty pounds of Tonga branch that I got from Below Sea Level. Some of the best fused I've seen. Always up for a beer at the Big Time though!

I used to live right down there too, in those crappy Westwood apartments. Now im on the north side of campus. Just got about 16lbs of Figi from BSL, gonna go back this weekend for about 10 more. Good to see more U-dist people here.
BTW Did Below Sea lvl just get some more rock? When I went in last weekend they had some ok pieces but I snagged those, the rest seemed pretty dead.

They got in the awsome fused Tonga branch. Sorry I got the best of it but You're welcome to the scraps! They are selling live brine shrimp Tues.

This is at the local Petco on 45th by the old Apple computer store!?
Good lord I would never buy livestock there or LR, but if it has miraculously turned its Aquatics division around I may have to go look again. I have been partial to The Fish Store on Roosevelt and Aquarium Concepts on Aurora Lately. Both are very close and their staff can actually tell a goldfish from a clown fish. Just kidding, but I have yet to be blown back by anyone?s knowledge at a PET** chain store. Nonetheless I will take your word and give it a look. Thanks for the head up.

Erik

i think he's referring to Below Sea Level and not PetCo. he lives behind Petco or that is my interpretation of the chain of messages. I would not buy any livestock from Petco. I only buy cat toy's there :)

Your right Matt, my mistake.
I was just worried that people would buy things from Petco and be disappointed. Not to mention the smaller shops need the support.

Where is Below Sea Level located??

Below Sea Level is on Brooklyn I think over in the U-District. I've never been so can't comment on the store.

As far as Petco, everytime I go into one of their stores I just want to set the fish free. They are in small crowded tanks. *sigh*
