Deep Tanks and their lighting issues

I was wondering how one would light a deep tank, like 7 feet deep. Is it possible to properly light a tank this deep for reef purposes. Say my dream tank was a six foot wide cylinder that is 80 inches tall, could I do a reef setup or would I have to go with FO and get fake coral? keep in mind that this tank would be a LONG way off, but I would like to know if it is even plausible. I have been slowly drawing up my dream house and would need to change the floorplan if I didn't go with the cylindrical tank.

First thing that came to mind is allow the sun to light it. I've seen it done before

Have you thought of how you would clean a tank like that?

I get scared thinking of the $$ for salt for the water changes, nevermind the rest. If I had a tank with that much volume in a custom home I'd at least want to be able to house a shark.

Here's what it took David Saxby to light his reef tank that's 48" deep. Being that you're in Dallas I'm pretty sure skylights would be the way to go.
