ive heard many good things about these HOB skimmers and also deltec being a faily decent skimmer but was wondering if anyone has tried these or heard anything good/bad about them

thanks for any input

get the octopus bh100f, it costs like $120 on ebay, and is more powerful out of the box than the mce300, and you can spend $25 in a replacement venturi/volute for the pump to hotrod the performance. if you bought both you would spend less than $150, still less than the mce300 by more than $100, and it would be way more powerful. and you would have a place to put your heater and carbon, unlike with the mce300.
i also took off the stupid surface skimmer it came with and cut the inlet and outlet so that they didnt stick into the tank as much, for better asthetic appeal...lol
the microbubbles went away after about 3-4 days, and the skimmer has been a productive monster!! making anywhere from 8-16 ounces a day of skimmate
