Hi...I have 5 clams...3 crocea and 2 deresea and they have been doing fantastic. I have a 135g tank and 2 outer orbit lights with T5 and MH 250W x2fixtures (total x4 bulbs) with LEDs

My last test was
Ammonia 0
Nitrate and Nitrite 0
ph did not test had been running around 8.2
kH 12
Ca 460

I am dosing with 2 part solution and feeding mixture of DT phyto, artic pods, and use Reef Plus. Fish food is Rods food which I supplement with HUFA's and Selco

Anyway...my question is this....

I have had a problem with one of my light fixtures and it recently "blew up" this week. I had called the store and they were going to come and look at it and replace the ballast as this light in not even a month old...so I did not rearrange any of my clams.

I have a tiny about 1 to 1.5 inch deresa clam that has been doing well (had him for about 1 month now) in same location. Since the light has gone out he has moved himself closer to the tank wall. Well today he has actually attached himself to the wall and is climbing the tank wall. I know he is trying to get more light, however I am afraid to move him because you can see the ligaments attached to the glass

I have rearranged the other clams to the other side of the tank to get the most light..actually just 1 clam needed moving...and just because I can am going to enclose pictures :)

Just moved this one as my new goby has found he likes to bury things now...

any suggestions on how to move the little guy...I heard ice will sometimes help..but it looks almost as if he has his ligaments and part of his foot down. I am going to go to store tonight and see if they have any idea when they will come out....

Since he's attached to the glass, it'll actually be quite easy. They can be removed from whatever their attached to, as long as you're careful not to rip their bysal threads. You can, however, cut the bysal threads. But it needs to be a clean cut. Rock the clam to one side and cut the bysal thread. If you can't cut it all from this side, rock it to the other side and cut the remaining. I'd suggest using a razor blade. You may even be able to slide the razor between the glass and the bysal thread. As long as it's a nice, clean cut, it'll heal up nicely and quickly.
