Is there anything that will eat this stuff... it builds up in my sump like i want it to but i was hoping maybe some brittle stars or a seaserpent would wat it up, yes> ? No? maybe? LOL maybe a conch?

i use socks 1ce a week. and mix and blow everything off with turkey baster. are u overfeeding?

no i just dont do much maintence lol... or socks or nothing. thinking ill have to suck it up with the turkey baster and do a needed w/c tomorrow.

as mike told me wc are a way just to dillute the problem. i think of it like this. ill use my 90g as example, i add 2gal off ato every day. that is a compleete wc every 45 days. i just dose and fix the problem why ur dooing the wc. high no3 add bio pellot and blow off rock 1ce a week, add refugium and so on. fix the problem not dillute it. like ur haveing a detrius problem add a cascade or reena canister filter to catch the detrius. just my opinion

Yes as Aquarium keepers every once and a while we need to do a little clean up and perhaps even get our hand wet from time to time. Do what you know you should do lol

I use to get in my sump and siphon it out every month or so. I had a thread years ago title, "Sumps need cleaning too!" which had a shot of what was sucked out of my sump after a week, but the website I hosted the picture on I guess is no longer hosting that picture and I lost it. Un any even, you will have to probably get in there and manually clean it yourself. :)
