So, here's something a lot of people don't know... remember that famous speech by Nelson Mandela. You know, the "who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? etc..."? Well, the truth is that those weren't actually his own words. He was quoting the brilliant Marianne Williamson (a Jewish ex-cabaret singer from Houston, TX).
The quotation is from her book "Return to Love." My mom bought it for me for my birthday (I think)... so far it's not bad.
EDIT: Ninong has alerted me to the fact that Mandela never actually used those words in any speech of his and it's actually something of a mystery as to how they got attached to him.
