Disappearing clown trick

Well bummer, I guess I lost my black OC......It's nowhere to be found so I figure my condy ate him, or it died of something and was eaten by a hermit or my cleaner shrimp. It never gave any sign that it was in poor health...there one day gone the next. Unless he teleported through some temporal displacement vortex, which I suppose is always a possibility :doubt: . Let me know if he shows up in your tank.

That's to bad. Take a look in the sump.. Depnding on overflow it may have taken the overflow to sump journey.

That happened to my yellow tang. I think Marine Depot sells a temporal stabilizer that helps localize these disturbances to the 6th dimension. You could also try lining the tank with titanium, makes it much harder to get a stable vortex.

disappering fish act i think ive lost 3 fish to that a purple decor goby? think it jumped and my dog ate it only explantion besides the vortex i dont have an over flow
i think i have lost fish to an anenome in my bedroom tank i had a coral margin butterfly which got harrased by my sailfin tang i did ask if it would be a problem and was told unlikely anyway i moved it from my main display to my bedroom tank it had lost sum bectoral fin on the left side it went to the bottom and drifted next to a sand bed anenome only just touched it but jumped froward and hit a sticky tip which puuled it in straight away i had to pull him out of it and it was paralyzed for about 2 minutes then started swimming around a nit ion a containment box but didnt make it through the night
if ur clown did die the anenome probly ate it
any way losing any fish is sh@t

Well at least he passed due to natural causes. Its better than watching your grouper dart up from the bottom and your clownfish while your fiance was looking at him and tapping on the glass. Oh man that was horrible. I don't think i have ever seen my fiance swear more in her whole life as she did that night!

A female ocellaris i used to have died for who knows what reason and i remember it was so sad because she kept shaking on the sand and all the fishes were watching her die too .... that was a very sad moment .
Then a baby ocellaris i had for a few months got sick i believe and in one of those my anemone ate him .

do you have any larger crabs??? lol i have a sally lightfoot that is the culprit in the disappearance of 2 damsels...i wasn't sure until i saw him attack my blue hippo...i never found a trace of the damsels

Yeah sallys can be rather mean and a predator to small fish. I lost a pigmy angel to a sally lightfoot crab.

I have one hermit that is a little larger. I figure it may have eaten the clown if it just died, but I don't think it could catch it. The only other crab was a green one I banished to the fuge months ago after I caught it.

I tried the tin foil hat thing too, but they don't stay on the fish well so I gave up. Besides that really only works on the paranoid scitzophrenic fish

Did you hook up the 1.5 volt electical leads to the tin foil cap. If not it won't work correctly.

i thought you were suppose to put one on the fish and another one on yourself so you can sense what the fish is trying to do .

See, The fish is supposed to have 1.5 volt tin foil cap. Then you're supposed to place a 24 volt tin foil cap on yourself. After this, and only if you've completed all the steps along with the special dance. You can telepathically tell what the fish is planning. Once you've got this figured out, you can be there to prevent the fish from doing what devilish plans it might have.

I think if seen a kit for sale someplace before but I'm sure a good DIY should be able to duplicate it. It doesn't seem all that hard.

Does that clear it you for you?
