I have a 34 gallon Red Sea Max and was wondering if I need to have a stronger water movement other than the two return pumps in the tank.

how much flow are the pumps in the tank already and what do you want to keep in the tank??(corals wise)

Personally, I would go with 2 of these. http://www.petmountain.com/product/aquarium-water-pumps/512724/koralia-2-600-gph-9-watts-.html If you buy today, you can use the 5% off and save a little cash also. Koralia pumps are very good and you're getting more flow for the same price. Also, using 2 pumps will give you a little better control of where you have the flow vs. just the 1.

pretty much just fish and anemone. Do you think one is needed?

just be careful the anemone doesnt get sucked into it. makes for a nice mess.
