I just purchased a nice rock with 2 colonies of zoos on it ,one is orange with purple centres and the other is green with flouresent green centres, the green ones are doing good but the orange ones are not open completley,46gallon bowfront 36'nova extreme 4 bulb t5"s,I put the zoos about 3/4 high in the tank, should I lower them to see if the orange zoos do better or just leave it alone, have had the zoos for about a week, thks in advance for any input.

Have the orange ones ever opened completely? if not then it may not be a bad idea to move them towards the bottom and then slowly move them up once they've acclimated to the lower light so they dont get shocked.

A picture might help? It is a good idea to start any coral low in the tank for acclimation. Sometimes it take zoas a while to open. Were these shipped? Did you quarantine? What is the flow like? There are predators, bacterial infections, or just stress that can cause the polyps to not open. Did you check you tank parameters?
