Anthony, i read your article in Coral magazine..Oct/nov 2007 on DSB's. I got some questions. I recently added a 37 gallon dsb to my 40 gallon breeder(250 watt/10k). I keep it unlit but not pitch black. I have no snails currently in there except some babies that have popped up recently. Just a few brittle starfish(really small) that came with my rock out of my 40g breeder. There is about 25lbs of rock in there along with 4-6 inches of the variable grain sand(aragonite from Caribsea). When should i start adding snails or can i just keep them out? Can i add a small NO flourescent light and place some fish in there? Lastly, will this provide additional copepod production for the main tank? thx
