Any information would be great Pleeeeeease

Hi all,

I'm deciding on the best option for DSB, I have read so many articles regarding this subject, some great advice.

I would really like to know the following from as many people as possible who use DSB:

Depth
Grade/s used
Length of time DSB has been running
Size of tank
Live stock

I know its a lot to ask for but hopefully this will help me understand exactly what works and benefit others.

Thanks everyone.

DSB:
Starting Depth: 5" pure oolitic aragonite (i used Southdown)
Length of time: 2 years
Size: 27 gallon cube
Mated pair of GSMs..and rose anemones

Seems like a short time, but I've kept other DSBs for around 4+ years with no problems. Sand has now shortened from melting away. only 3-4" now

Best,
Ilham

Thanks, exactly what im looking for, "real set ups working" have you ever used different grade of sand in your DSB.

Thanks
chris

No. Oolitic, or variable oolitic (southdown).

I would avoid larger grain sizes.

Best,
Ilham
