With this build I wanted the ability to skim lite then as needed the ability to skim more:)
My first line of skimming will be (2) DT built on counter current air driven skimmer's. They are 36" tall x 4" diameter using 1/4" feed micro pore air stones. They will be feed from DT then drain down to help feed each close loop pump. Each skimmer should process system water volume once per hour.
The skimmer will be attached to DT thru 2" bulkhead while base sits on bench attached to stand the held by (2) 4" pipe brackets.

I'm actually really interested in these. If I had some more time and a Lil more confidence in myself...I'd make my own counter current skimmer. I kno u can get parts for skimmers off auction site and than I'd just need a clear pvc giant tube or something idk...im rambling

My skimmers are built with all sch. 40 pipe and part's.
I order a lot of my stuff from Flexpvc.com because I don't have access to this custom stuff local to me.

wow, great idea using the current produced as part of your closed loop flow. can't wait to see it all come together! This has been the ultimate build in many ways!

That's really nice of you to say:) It has taken me three years to think/design/find/buy all this now if I just had a little help putting it all together...lol......SOON I will be a reefer:)

Your thinking, designing, and construction is sometimes anything but outside of the box!!!
You rock bud.
Did ya pay your water bill yet? Still waiting on seeing something, ANYTHING getting wet.
