ebay?

Has anyone bought a lighting system off ebay? I see there are some MH lights and ballasts for around $100 but I am just wondering-Too good to be True?

I buy most of my stuff from Ebay, but I've been doing it for a loooong time. Make sure you research the seller via feedbacks. There are some great deals out there.

Most MH fixtures have very cheap bulbs in them (yellowish tint) so keep inmind that you may have to spend an additional $40-$70 for good bulbs

Those fixtures have BAD ballasts and even worse bulbs. But if a cheap fixture meets your needs go for it, they are not completely worthless.

I bet if you hooked up a killawatt to that light it would be pulling 100w less than 380w. The mh ballasts are only pushing 150w in those odyssea mh's. If you replaced the ballast with a 250w eballast you will be amazed at the difference in light output.
