I know this horse has been beaten over and over but I am contemplating buying either a Eibli or Potters Angelfish. I know with most angels its a toss up as to whether they will or will not nip at corals. Of these two beauties which is least likely to be a nipper or is it just a chance I have to take. I have a 55 gallon aquarium with about 75 lbs of live rock, I have two O Clowns and a flametail blenny. I primarily have softies: ricordeas, zoas, shrooms, some leathers, will eventually add a couple of fungia, and possible a torch or hammer.

I am tank sitting for a friend right now that has a potters angel. It lives in a 65 with zoa's, shrooms, acans, SPS, hammers, and a clam. It has been a modle citizen for about eight months now. Not my personal experience but first hand knowlage :)

I unfortunaly know nothing about the Eible angle other then they are nice looking.

But as I'm sure you know each fish will act differently :loco:

IMO, Potters are more hardy, but almost more difficult to take care of...they require excellent water quality and TONS on live rock to graze...(they are all day grazers)...IMO, as with most centrogype fish, they need to be in an established tank (2yrs+)..they do not handle new tank syndrome well at all..

Thanks for the info I will then wait a bit before adding one to my system. By a bit I mean 12 months, thanks for the extra info I appreciate it!
