Elos Raffle & PSAS Donation Results

Well we finally had a chance to total ticket sales and expenses. We didn't sell nearly as many tickets as we hoped, but the Elos Raffle was still worth it. After covering our expenses, there is almost $500 left to donate to the club. We are going to round it off to an even $500. At the next appropriate event we will present the PSAS with a check for that amount. Thanks to everyone for supporting the club, our raffle, and our grand opening sale.

just a quick question what dose the donation do for the club exactly? how do they use it to help benifit members

Club funds are used to bring in speakers, buy occasional raffle/give away items, and for general meeting expenses such as room rentals, beverages, etc.

Club funds are used to Pay for the room we all meet in first of all !!!

That alone is allot more than you may think!

Many many many attempts at getting another cheaper location have been tried with no sucess to date.

Speakers come second

Raffle items are generally a way to raise funds wich are needed!

Most of the people that post here are from seattle and the P.S.A.S. does not get 1 cent from any advertising from reeffrontiers and is not affiliated with it.

So there are some explanations of what funds do for the club.

The purpose of this raffle, other than advertising for us, was to generate a large donation for the club. We were hoping that we could reach a $3000 donation which might have opened some new doors. Ed and I had many new creative ideas that could have opened new doors for events and confrences. Unfortunately, we did not reach those lofty goals. For me personally, I was hoping a large donation could be used to improve the website, pay board members for their time, and increase advertising. All of which would improve member involvement in one way or another. My dream would be for the PSAS to host a MACNA in Seattle someday. The interest and current level of involvement by members is nowhere near what it would take to pull something like that off. If you have never been to a MACNA....wow...so much fun. Completely inspiring. Come on Ed....we'll rally the troops eventually
