Enkamat Mesh Mod Kits

This friday Mark (skimerwhisperer) is going to put together mesh mod kits that will boost the bubble production of most any needle wheel protein skimmer. The kits are complete for $10. Mark is available fridays, saturdays, and sundays in the store to install them for you for an additional $10. Hopefully Mark will chime in here with more information/specifics.

were going to be putting together a comprehensive kit that will include;

1. enkamat mesh(pf4a), enough for 3 layers.
2. gutter guard, for a more rigid bottom or top "plate" if desired.
3. fishing line, 2' worth, to attach mesh to smaller impellars(i.e maxijet 1200).
4. 6 zip ties...go ahead, screw one up...there's extra..
5. easy to understand instructions with pictures.

were also looking at making a kit that includes the dweyer air meters and killawatt watt meters available for those who wish to test their results, and fine tune their modifications.

most any needle wheel or aspirating skimmer will gain a substantial increase in air and water processing with this modification.
imo, one of the more groundbreaking things to occure in skimmer technology.

dood do you think i could try doing something like this to a red sea prizm ?
i was wondering if i could do something for the thing to work better or would i be just waisting my time ? .

i think it would, but considering the price of the POM, i would be unwilling...
BUT, did you see this??
looks like klaus is trying out something kinda similar...VERY similar, with good looking results.
im also excited to see the baby bk's come to town...

thanks for putting this together guys. i was wanting to try this on my octopus before i fire it up here shortly. i reckon i'll just buy the kit and save the time, which nowadays is worth more to me than the price of the kit
