I'm just getting to the hobby,
I am hear to get some advice, suggestions and knowledge.
Hopefully someone here ill lend me a helpfull hand.
I wanted a reef with softies for some time now,, But the LFS priced me for 2500$ for the equipment. So i walked away, theres no way i can afford 2500 on top of my tuition.
But i did some research and found some cheap equipment, I know u get what u pay for but I'm not in a position to pay to much.
I just bought a 75gal tank 90CND$.
now for the supplys
This is my equipment list.
Odyssea PS160 Protein Skimmer 60$
Odyssea CFS4 Canister Filter 46$
Odyssea 48" 260W Power Compact Light Fixture Advance 90$
Odyssea UV Sterilizer 9W 30$
The uv sterilizer is kind of the might as well Even tho i dint really need it.
I'm shure Odyssea is some cheap china made brand but does anyone have experience with any of the items above?
I am not panning to keep too many fish except the clean up crew, and maybe a few clows and a fox.
Also, I'm guessing thats all the items I need. I will be using the skimmer as an HOB. (I know know how to drill holes for stumps). This is going to be in a large bedroom where I sleep i hope this stuff dint make too much sound.
