Since I can't find a build thread, I'll post pics of Joanne's 80 here...lol.

Went to her home Saturday, for a lil' meeting, and brought my camera along.

psh - OK - fine!!!! :hail: :hail:

This tank has been setup like it is for about a year. 90% of the corals came outta my old 40 gallon tank, so they've just been growing now to fill up the newfound space.

The nerd details:

Tank:
80 (ish) gallon - 63L x 14D x 22H
38 (ish) gallon homemade sump/fuge
6 bulb 48" t5 on left side of tank (zoos, clams, LPS side)
400W MH on right side (SPS)
Lifereef VS2 skimmer
A random Ebay calcium reactor
Coast to coast overflow w/ bean animal silent overflow

Livestock:
Yellow tang
Lieutenant tang
Male/Female pair of red tail tamarin wrasses
Starry Blenny
Midas Blenny
Dusky Jawfish

+ corals :target:

Dosing:
none, just water changes, plus the occasion correction when tests show things way off, or my bryopsis comes back....

I do run GFO 24/7, changed out every 1-2 months as I remember

Current pests - :couch2:
Planaria flatworms
Red bugs
Bryopsis

All 3 of these are major reasons why we must all dip and QT our corals, no exceptions.... no, but theres nothing else in this tank I can QT it in here BS.. blah blah blah :D hahaha

It is a beautiful tank, and it was a pleasure to see it! And you said the midas blenny was hard to get a picture, it looks great! Good pics Michael! I was also drooling over several things including that beautiful lobo! Your SPS have grown a lot since I was last over.

And now I know I'm not the only clam hoarder around here!

Michael, I hope you can make it to my house for the meeting next week so I can have some great pics on my thread!

Well, there are a lot of pictures, that were too blurry to post, so her comments aren't without merit...lol

Haven't I posted pics, in your build thread, a couple different times? If not, I'll remedy that, as I do have quite a few photos of your tank, from a couple different visits.

It's not called hoarding - its collecting with "love" mwahahahaha :D

What's horrible is, I'm still always shopping for a new clam... ugh - no room!! need bigger tank just for clams :D

Ummm, I could be mistaken, but it seems that Joanne used the phrase "clam hoarding," before anyone else...lol

I need to hush. With 4 in the 200, previously 5, and thinking about how to make room for more, and 1 in Angie's nano, I have no room to talk...lol

Once I move the 40 upstairs, this week, hopefully, I wouldn't be surprised if a clam or two end up in it...lol

Yes, I really loved the term "clam hoarding" so I continued using it. I have 5 clams now in the 180, but just one of them weighs 10 lbs.

You have posted a couple pics for me before, but not many. Either way, my tank is looking better than it ever has, and needs to be shown off properly!:D
