ETSS 800 Protein Skimmer

Is there a suitable submersible pump that can be used with an ETSS 800 Protein Skimmer?

I don't think that there is any submersible, with enough umph. I have used Iwaki 40RLXT, and 55RLT, and even the 70 in a few cases. Not many sub pumps that can hang in that company. I have an etss 600 that bangs pretty well with the largest Eheim pump. Forget which model number it is. Good luck, awesome skimmer! Mike

A Mag12 will work fine. You can also use a Mag18 but be sure the output/drain from the skimmer is above the sump water level or you may end up having to throttle back the pump to prevent water from rising too far in the collection cup.
