Whats the best replacement pump for this model skimmer?

Interperate "best" however you want, just let me know if its bang-for-the-buck best or ultimate best.

thanks

i would stick with a stock model euro reef modified sedra 3500,
or get one of their new eheim pumps, but you will pay big bucks for it.
the other option you might look at would be an aquabee 2000 n.w. pump, about 150 at fins reef, but it might actually overpower the cs 80 body size just a hair...

is that "just a hair" comment a joke? I figured bumping up flow a little wouldn't hurt but 600%?!

What about a Gen-x 1500? Its about 10% more flow and only $35. Who sells sedra pumps? Can't find any. :(

Where do you get the new Eheim pumps?
I agree I have a Gen-X, very loud, actually have two of these, not goood at making micro bubbles either.

well, you can get them from euroreef or fins reef, the fins reef one is an h&s replacement pump, and the euroreef one has the proprietary nw impellars, old style and new, i think they are on display this weekend at macna so someone should get some pics soon..they are suppose to be available in oct.
