Euroreef or ASm what one to get

Can get a used Euroreef CS8-2 with sedra 5000 pump i think, might be 9000

Or a new ASM G4+ with gate valve mod and sedra 9000 for $430

are they both 430 and im asuming protien skimmers havent seen those units but heard of em kinda exclude from alot of brands in australia

if the euro works properly... they're usually better. Check to see what pump is on the euro..

The euro-reef skimmers are made out of a higher quality of plastic, so if it falls over, it wont break. While with ASM, it will.

You can also buy the gate valve mod for the euroreef from Marine Depot for about 40 bucks. All sced 40 pipe.

Tough call. I have the 8-2 with a 9000 and it works great for me. If I was going to buy new today I would probably get and ASM since they have identical performance but the ASM saves you like 200 bucks. But, for 130 less I would defenitely get the Euro-reef as long as it was in decent shape.
