Plant him in the sandbed. I have some in the sand and some that hitchhiked in on some rock. If he doesn't like where he's at, he'll move. Mine like a decent amount of water flow.

They can be pretty easy to beat up with a lot of flow, so be careful with that. However, they can't be in a total dead spot, either, since they're filter feeders and rely on the current to bring them food. They're not photosynthetic, so they have no light requirements. The only caution might be to avoid high lighting, so they don't become a home for algae.
 
It has a pretty big body on it, about 3 in. and the feather head is about 4 in. I heard that they latch onto what ever you put them on and can go out the back? Is that true?
