February Get together Poll

Yesterday on the way down to Rob's, I had an idea about next months get together.

As most of us know, the P{SAS Bob Moore Frag swap is going to be held in South Tacoma on February 19th!

I was thinking that us North Sounders could all band together and charter a bus to attend this event!

I am not sure as what the costs would be as it is all dependant on how many people would want to do this. If we are going to do this, we need to act soon!

So please let us know your thoughts on this!

Probably need to find out the range of cost first, based on size of bus and if it comes with a driver. Nothing firm, just the range. Also need to factor the added time.
My wife rented a large bus and driver a few years ago for a convention she put on, was amazed how much it cost. That was from one starting point to one destination and return, whereas ours would need at least a few stops to work. The big question is who drives, what costs and how much time?
I would enjoy the big road trip with friends. Whether as a group of 4or5 in an auto or as a larger group in a bus. If using autos, I am willing to furnish my car.

Well just form the little research I did mike, the prices vary depending on the amount of people. Of course this included a driver. If I am not mistaken, it was like $85 per hour with a 4 hour minimum and they add 20% gratuity in the pricing. This was from Belair and I am sure there are more, but to get more definitive pricing, I need to know how many are going to be interested so that I can get the numbers put together for everyone!

Hey Jeff, I think if every NSR/PSAS member were to post or send you a pm to let you know if they're in for the trip wether charter or carpool or are not interested/can not go would be a great start. Then like the monthly calender you could post up as a sticky an active list of who plan on attending.

UHhh, I think I will follow the crowd on this one. Megan had here first school bus ride yesterday and would likely be be overjoyed. However asking the rest of the riders to share in the acoustic styling of a fussy 4 yo for a few hours may not get me a seat back.

If I drive I can take 1 more person and will likely leave on the early side. My house (and the foreclosure next door) can fit a surprising number of cars in the driveway (Like 12+) Edmonds is kinda to the South for the club so I offer space for park and ride and or carpool.

When you have a ball park price please post.

Id love to go down on a bus with everyone, however its not feasible for my husband. If he needs to leave, we need to leave! We cant wait for a ride back. We are looking forward to going. Will see you there, I'm sure.

i dont mind the whole bus ride thing but i have a few questions?

1. if its a 4 hour min do we have to pay for all the time they are waiting for us to go home?
2 what if people wanted to leave earlier or later??
3. there should be a 3rd poll as earlier stated about carpooling

i have a very fuel efficient ride and i could take 3 people with me even if the price got down to 10 dollars a person it would still be cheaper for me to take 3 people with me. im not bashing the whole bus ride i think it would be cool. im just stating that not everyone will have the money to do this. i would think this would be a better fit for seamax with parking and everything taken in to consideration.
