I am curious as to whether I would be gaining anything by feeding my 75 gallon soft coral tank DT's phytoplankton.

I have a sarcophyton leather, xenia, brown button polyps and some mushrooms. Am I correct in that these do not eat phytoplankton?
But would phyto promote life that they do eat?

I have a mandarin in my tank who has been doing very well. I have a fuge with chaeto and pods crawling around on my tank. Does phytoplankton promote pod populations?

Thanks!

Phytoplankton is a food source for your pods, so I make sure you feed your fuge. However, there are other products on the market that are cleaner than DT Phytoplankton. Every time I use DT, I get an algae bloom.

I thought about culturing some phyto, but I don't know as I need that much.

What other brands are considered the best?
