We've seen this artificial bio-active rock alternative on RB and other places, but hesitated to bring it in. FHI was at SEAMAX and boy are we glad they were. They brought a bunch of their Real Reef rock and the stuff is fantastic. They put it in a bunch of different vendor's tanks. You would never know it isn't premium Fiji Live Rock from back in the good days! I guess its fooled many folks. Plus you can get beautiful shelf pieces. Not only are you not contributing to rock being removed from the reefs, but you get biologically active, pest free rock that looks incredible right out of the box! We purchased around 50lb to get started with. It retails for $7.99/lb. We will have it on display Tuesday afternoon. We also hear that Tonga Branch type Real Reef rock is on its way. Woot woot! Can't wait:)

I was checking them out, at Seamax, and thought it was incredible! Cy the networking opportunities, from Seamax are already showing. This great alternative, to removing rock from the reefs, is just one example of the great new innovations I saw, this past weekend. Glad to hear you'll be stocking this product!

Yep...Brightwell resolution, Real Reef, Acan LED, a few items of info from Jon & Jim at Seachem, seeing some new Ecoxotic innovations, the beta CPR BioPellet reaction chamber, and a whole lot more. Great networking opportunities:)

LOL I guess me *&(#$&$ to Kevin at Brightwell paid off if we will see Brightwell come back to your shop! I have to agree the networking is where the real success was for Seamax. Both the stores and the clubs I'm sure made some huge connections and got to catchup with some old friends.

How about the folks at the Ecological lab booth, did you talk to them at all? I am interested in trying out Microbe-lift/Special blend bacteria, if they can clean up huge ponds with it, I think it should handle my tank :)

I had a good talk with the boys at fishheads, that rock product is very nice and SOoooooo much better then real Live rock.

We have had Ecological Laboratory products in for the past couple years. They sold very poorly and we have been letting them dwindle. Plans were to remove them. I'm not sure if we have Microbe-Lift left but I'll check. If you need something ordered, please let us know. It won't be a problem:)

Awesome to hear as I will be using some of these in my new system and wish to add some to my existing systems. What are the sizes of the reef rock like? I saw on RB that FNI Reef Reef Rocks are made in nano sizes too?

Cheers,
Alex
