We have a nice, big Yellow Fiji and it seems to be shriveling up and molting every 2-3 weeks. The last time it did, it definately got bigger with more polyps and it's in the process again. Is it normal to happen this often?
The first is a picture of when it's not molting. The second is today.

This is very common with Leather corals. It's their way of "sloughing off" detritus or other things that "dirty" it's outer layer. They will normally take on a "waxy" appearance, as this happens. When this happens, be sure that the sloughed off tissue doesn't get blown onto other corals. If it does, use a turkey baster to blow it off or suck it out of the tank.

Thanks! I've been using the turkey baster every day. My cleaner shrimp also have a tendency to hang out on the Fiji, will they help it along?
