While visiting Seattle, last weekend, I was able to pick up a used Canon 100mm Macro lens!!! WooHoo. It's taking some getting used to and I'm having a bit of difficulty getting sharp images. It's going to take a bit of practice. Here's a sample of a few I was able to get in focus...lol.

Very nice macro pics, Michael. I bet you will have more of those with your new toy. Keep clicking and sharing :)

On a side note, and nothing to do with reef tanks, here's some more pictures that show some of the capabilities of this lens. We took our daughter to Playhouse Disney Live On Tour last night. We were quite a ways from the stage and the lighting was varied from very bright areas to very low lit areas. In lower light, some lenses have trouble or take longer to focus. Not this one. It's focus was instant. In this type of lighting, cameras can have difficulty figuring out exposure levels, so I almost always shoot on Manual and do that work myself.
