Firefish Dilemma

Hello! I have kind of a bizarre situation. I purchased a couple firefish from my LFS months ago. During a water change, one disappeared. I looked everywhere - figured it had died of stress. Well, clearly I didn't look hard enough! Last night, after a couple MONTHS, I spotted something moving around in the overflow (where I'd looked numerous times). Sure enough, it was the firefish! It's been there all this time. Now I'm worried about catching it and putting it back in the tank, since the first fish is already established. Any brilliant ideas or suggestions out there? Thanks!

I wouldn't think there would be much of a problem with a firefish being territorial, but it's always good to play it safe.

You may get lucky & have a male & female. Firefish live in groups in the wild & they become territorial towards each other if they are the same gender in an aquarium.
