This is definatlly gona be the next new addiction for me.I guy where i maintain a saltwater tank in his store let me try this in his office. It's a 210 gallon, which we a soon finding out takes alot of money in plants.

I've not known anyone to have good luck with bamboo w/fish, have you? I've set up and maintained a lot of freshies for the store i worked at, and people with bamboo always seemed to be replacing fish.

Many people on cichlid-forum use bamboo. What I've gathered from their posts is that it does best with the leaves sticking out of the water. And of course only "lucky bamboo" does well submerged without soil.

I can't keep plants because my fish are all herbivores and they'd be salad in a matter of days.
